Class Experience

For children who love singing, dancing, and magical creatures, this class will provide an imaginative and exciting musical theatre experience. Each week students can wear their favorite dress up clothes/costume from home or borrow one of ours!  Special stories, songs, dances, and movement activities fill up our class time. Young dancers and singers will learn musical theatre basics in this fun creative movement class that will teach them how to sing along with songs and dance, while exploring their favorite fairy tales. Each week confidence will grow as they improve their performance skills and learn new ways to express themselves. By the end of the class session, every single student will shine onstage like the stars they are.

Meet your Instructor

Libby P.

Libby is originally from Georgia and received her B.A. in theatre from Brenau University. While in college, she worked with a local theatre that focused on working with schools without arts programs. There she learned that teaching children was her passion and sharing the joys of theatre with those who may never have the opportunity was where her heart lies. She recently worked with the Tony Award winning Alliance Theatre and is so excited to bring the joy of theatre here to Alexandria!
