The perfect way for aspiring broadway stars, singers and dancers alike to spend a week of their summer!
This dance and performance camp is specifically designed for dancers and young performers - offering a comprehensive study of movement, characterization, and exposure to a broad variety of dance styles. Students will experience a truly unique program with theatrical make-up to top it all off.
Based on T.S. Eliot’s whimsical set of poems, Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, this beloved Andrew Lloyd Webber musical tells the stories of the Jellicle tribe of cats. Cats, produced around the world and translated into more than 20 languages, bursts with song and dance, and is a delight for the whole family.
The focus of this camp will be on the biggest production number in the broadway show "Jellicle Ball".
We strongly encourage parents to drop their children off, but if your child needs you to stay a little, especially on the first day, then you are more than welcome to sit in. Please bring water and snacks, as well as a lunch (if you are do the extended camp) for your performers. They will need the nourishment for their imaginations, active voices and bodies. We will take a morning and afternoon break, as well as a longer lunch break - so they will have time to refuel and hydrate.
We know that life is ever evolving, we ask that cancellations come in a timely fashion so as not to adversely impact other members of the production or class nor the staff.
No cancellations will be accepted within 72 hours of the class.
