Students will be taught as a group in a Broadway-style choral setting. Students will have an opportunity to work with professional directors to produce healthy and powerful singing tone, create engaging and honest stage presence, and will be taught to read music at their level.
Various vocal directors will take time to work with the students and give insights into what is expected from those who seek on stage performance.
Students will also be taught age-appropriate Broadway style literature as a group and will perform for their friends and families at the end of the week camp. Students will be trained how to sing with proper breath control, posture, vocal alignment, and will receive individual assessments of their singing.
If you love to sing, this is the camp for you!
We strongly encourage parents to drop their children off, but if your child needs you to stay a little, especially on the first day, then you are more than welcome to sit in. Please bring water and snacks, as well as a lunch (if you are do the extended camp) for your performers. They will need the nourishment for their imaginations, active voices and bodies. We will take a morning and afternoon break, as well as a longer lunch break - so they will have time to refuel and hydrate.
