7-9 yr old 2D After School Art Studio is a small group art studio time that meets once per week from September - December and January - April with a trained, professional artists and culminates with an exhibit of the students’ work and an opening celebration. It consists of class projects, group projects, and free independent work times that develop basic art skills using a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, printmaking, fibers, collage, mixed media and non-fired clay. The instructor will present structured age-appropriate projects that will encourage both critical and visual thinking and will encourage students to expand on the projects with their own creative process and choices. After School Art Studio is a fun and collaborative after school art adventure for kids of all ability and experience levels that want to learn and make art. It does NOT require any prior art training, just a love of making art and a desire to learn more! Waitlist: If the class is full you can join the waitlist. Please note that in the event of an opening we will contact people in the order that they joined the waitlist to ask if they are still interested. If so, then we will proceed with registration.
