Young artists (ages 7-12) are invited to audition for Pinkalicious our TYA ( Theatre For Young Audiences) summer show on Monday, May 7th from 4:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at Apex Theatre Studio. Synopsis: This is the tale, based on the popular book by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann, of Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe – a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this pink predicament. Pinkalicious the Musical is about learning the power of self-control and the importance of moderation.

Roles available: PINKALICIOUS - an energetic little girl who loves the color pink and pink cupcakes PETER - her younger brother who would rather eat cupcookie cakes and feels that Pinkalicious gets all of the attention MRS. PINKERTON - Pinkalicious's organic-minded and busy mother MR. PINKERTON - Pinkalicious's pinkaphobic father DR. WINK - Pinkalicious's female pediatrician who is very excited about diagnosing pinkititis ALISON - Pinkalicious's best friend who also wants to be pink ENSEMBLE - Multiple roles, including BIRDS, BUTTERFLIES, and BEES that sing and dance and think Pinkalicious is a flower Rehearsal schedule: Tuesdays 4:15-6:00 12/7, 12/14, 1/11. 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1 Saturdays 10:00-12:15 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26 Show week: 3/1, 3/3 4:00-6:30 Performances 3/4/22 7:00 p.m. 3/5 11:00 a.m. 3/11 7:00 p.m. 3/12 11:00 a.m. (understudy show) Cost: $375 (32 contact hours) Auditioners should prepare 16 bars from an uptempo song and be ready to cold read from the script.
