This hands-on, project based camp will allow students to put their building and coding skills to the test. Students will first design and build their VEX I.Q Claw bot. Upon completion, students will learn Blockly based coding using the Robot Mesh Studios software. Students will learn an array of coding and logic based skills which will include blocks with and without limits, loops and use of sensors to make their robots smarter. Students will put their coding skills to the test to complete a series of mini challenges and activities that focus on use and movement of the robot drivetrain, use of bumper sensors and control of the robot claw and arm to pick up, put down and move blocks. No prior building or coding experience is required for this unit.
