For students wanting to learn fundamental charcoal drawing skills, this class starts by creating a strong foundation to build upon. This class will be split into two parts. During the introductory phase, students will receive formal element training. They will focus on the basics of representational drawing: line, shape, contrast, and gradation. Students will learn how contrasts of value creates form and in combination with gradations you will achieve an illusion of realism. Through a variety of sequential exercises, students will learn to create works of art that demonstrate one point and two-point perspective. During the second phase of the session, students will apply their learned skills a drawing from life, photography, or imagination.
All supplies for this session are included.
