Space Operas are melodramatic grand adventures set in outer space just like Star Wars. In this week, kids ages 6-12 will create rocket ships and planets, design zany space suits, and develop their own Space Opera stories!

Campers will work on multiple hands-on art projects and group activities all themed around outer space travel. Each day campers will rotate between four different classes each led by one of our Teaching Artists. Kids will be introduced to drawing, painting, sculpture and more, while also learning to think creatively. Please bring a sack lunch each day of camp.

Daily Camp Schedule (Monday - Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm):

• Drop off begins at 8:45am (Please allow extra time for the first day of camp)
• 9:00am-9:30am: Orientation/Group Activities
• 9:30am-10:30am:  Project #1
• 10:30am-11:30am:  Project #2
• 11:30am-12:00pm:  Lunch
• 12:00pm:1:00pm:  Project #3
• 1:00pm-2:00pm:  Project #4
• 2:00pm Pick Up: Campers will remain in their classroom until their parent/guardian has arrived.

Before and after care (8:00am-5:00pm) is available to add at checkout.

Student Gallery Reception (Friday, July 14th 2:00pm-2:30pm)

On the last day of camp, we will hold a special mini-exhibit that will showcase all the projects that our campers have worked on. We encourage all parents and friends to come out!
