Class Experience
Always wanted to learn to sew? This is the class for you! Over 4 weeks you will learn all the basics of sewing and work towards sewing your very own tote bag. Everyone loves a great bag, especially one you create. This is a great beginner project and you'll get to use it when you're finished!
Things you'll learn:
- Sewing straight seams
- Finishing your seams
- Hemming and creating pockets
- Creating boxed corners
- And more!
What to Expect:
Week 1: Some tools of the trade Parts of the sewing machine Stitching with the sewing machine Supplies needed for the final project
Week 2: How to read a pattern How to cut out a pattern Begin cutting out your pattern
Week 3: Start assembling our final project
Week 4: Finish our final project
Fabric will not be provided for this class as it is a personal choice. Fabric requirements will be discussed during the first session.
Other Things To Know
All enrollments are non-refundable. Students may cancel their enrollment two weeks prior to the start date to receive full class credit less any processing and/or material fees.
What To Bring
- Students will need purchase their own fabric for their final project. Specific fabric requirements will be discussed during the first session.
