This class covers the basics of wheel throwing and moves into some intermediate techniques! Master beginner techniques like centering, opening, pulling and trimming, while creating vessels on the wheel. [Level 1/ Learners class]
Please make sure you read our cancellation policy carefully before you sign up! Winter classes will take place inside with our garage door cracked open and our HRV ventilation system on at all times. Whenever weather permits, we’ll move outside to the sidewalk area.
* Please bring newspaper and dry cleaning plastic/plastic bags if you have - we can reuse them!
** Students are required to maintain studio hygiene and clean up their work stations at the end of each class.
***In observance of MLK Day, our Monday noon class will take place from 4-6:30pm on January 17th. Morning and noon classes will take place 4-6:30pm the week of February 21-25 due to Winter Break.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Due to the pandemic we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds or provide make-up classes, even due to COVID. If you need to drop out of a class once it has begun due to personal injury or COVID-19 related sickness we CANNOT issue a refund, credit, exchange, transfer, or make-up class. If you wish to receive a refund, your request MUST be received 1 week prior to the first day of your class. After this time we are unable to offer refunds, credits or transfers. PRICE INCLUDES: studio clay, glazes and slips. Firing: $30 extra for firing fee. This covers up to 4 items. Items must be under 5"x 5" x 5". After 4 items, or any item bigger than 5"x 5"x 5", you pay regular firing fees. OPEN STUDIO TIME: We strive to offer students ONE 2-hour open studio slot time with an Artshack member on site to answer questions. Please note that this is an "extra" that we try offer for free depending on the pandemic circumstances/space availability. It is NOT guaranteed in your class and we may not be able to offer it if COVID circumstances change. SAFETY NOTE: Our staff will be tested for COVID on a regular basis and participants and staff will be required to wear a mask over their nose and mouth during the duration of the workshop. You will also be asked to complete a questionnaire and take your temperature upon entry.
