Infant groups are for parents with babies who are between 2 to 12 months old. The groups meet for one hour a week, and the sessions range from 8-16 weeks. The age of the babies is generally within 10 weeks of each other so that we cover material that focuses on the particular stage the babies are going through. Topics include your baby’s physical, social and emotional and cognitive development. We also address developing healthy sleep habits and getting baby onto a schedule that jibes well with mom and dad’s lives and your own personal goals. We cover infant skin care, common infant ailments and what to do, and traveling tips with baby. We also address what is going on in your life as a parent of a newborn including postpartum emotions, dealing with family, and your new relationship with your partner. The groups are for either mom or dad only—one parent attends at a time. Multiples are welcome. We provide clean, age appropriate developmental toys for the babies to play with during class. 2017 fee for a 10 week session is $450.
