In our virtual, hands-on, and informative summer camps, kids will learn life-skills while having fun and making delicious recipes. You will receive an email approximately two weeks prior to the camp, with recipes, tool lists, and ingredient lists so that you have plenty of time to do the shopping. An additional, reminder email will be sent out 30 minutes prior to each class, with instructions on how to access the class via a Zoom link. The cost of this class is per household, so any siblings in the same household using the same device are welcome to join for no additional charge!

All of the recipes are made from scratch so that your child can really learn how to cook and/or bake. In a calm and encouraging tone, I will explain the process and reasons why we do certain things - with lots of tips and tricks along the way! Best of all, your child will learn life-skills in the comfort of their own home - not only will that help with future culinary adventures, but they will also learn to care for and respect their home kitchen.

I have three main rules:

1. Have fun!

2. Be safe!

3. Clean up after yourself!

I promote safety, cleanliness, fun, and highlight the importance of completing each process by making sure we clean as we go. There is time to clean built into the class structure, so that the child is keeping stations clean throughout the class. This technique allows for the children to take responsibility and pride in their workspace. This also prevents a pile up of dishes and surfaces to clean, so that your child and the family are able to enjoy the fruits of their labor almost immediately.

I encourage kids to ask questions for the ultimate interactive experience. Your child will  learn invaluable life-skills, including the opportunity to practice resilience, communication, and recognizing (then correcting) mistakes, in the comfort of their own home. The skills acquired in this class will allow your child to individually contribute to the whole family by creating meals for everyone to enjoy. Past students have created an amazing amount of meals and relay a sense of accomplishment from cooking for their families.
