Class Experience

This 90 minute class is a multimedia exploration of the nursery rhyme, "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." 

Guided by a teaching artist and assisted by their parents, participants will engage their bodies, voices, and imaginations to help Itsy on her quest to find the highest point in the garden! Parents and children both will enjoy activities and crafts that explore sound, animal diets, object permanance and more. Experience our imaginative musical adventure of Itsy live and receive everything you need to replay again at home!

Required.

This experience is designed to be enjoyed by parents and children together. Parent assistance may be required for craft construction, transitions and keeping their student on track as we shift quickly from one engaging and dynamic activity to the next!

Meet your Instructors

Will M.

Will is a graduate of San Francisco State University’s School of Theatre and Dance, Cum Laude 2021. Apart from his years of experience in theatre, he also has 6+ years of experience in childcare. His interests include acting, writing, and reading new works. He is excited to see you in class!

Katharine S.

Katie (she/her) is an actor, director, and writer who got her start in theatre here in the Bay Area at age seven. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Idaho in 2020 with a BFA in Theatre Performance, and she pursues continuous training with Theatrical Intimacy Education. Katie has over a decade of experience in childcare, and her love of teaching comes from the belief that educational theatre provides foundational skills for all walks of life. She can’t wait to see you in class!
