Get pumped! In this 8 week stimulating virtual writing and movement course, students combine principles and practices of self-defense and physical power with principles and practices of self-expression and awesome writing. They work on their strength, stamina, and style on the page and in their bodies.
Each week’s class includes movement/physical training, mindful focus, and discrete writing exercises. Students will leave with ways to stay physically active, and to get their thoughts in effective and exciting ways into words. They will also leave with tools for writing well about themselves and their interests, a small “body” of written work, and techniques for moving through creative or mental blocks.
Classes will be fun, deeply inclusive, and high energy. This is not your typical writing class! All ability levels are welcome.
At the end of the course, students will *pass* a self-defense challenge, and can receive special feedback on 2 of their favorite pieces of writing.
