SHSAT Advanced Ascent Course (spring/fall)

(for second semester 7th graders scoring 440+ on diagnostic)

Description:

Bee Tutored's Advanced Ascent Course is our faster-paced Ascent Course, ideal for the student who has already performed highly on the SHSAT diagnostic exams, and is looking to gain consistency and polish to their testing acumen. It is ideal for the second semester 7th grader or rising 8th grader who has experience preparing for the SHSAT. Students must test and place into our Advanced Ascent Course by scoring at least a 440 on our entrance diagnostic exam.

Like our regular Ascent course, the Advanced Ascent is a “practice forward” course that places emphasis on iterative practice and vetted strategy as a means of achieving optimal SHSAT success.  Course curriculum includes a unique combination of test-taking strategies, such as time management, elimination techniques/answer traps, practice with new topics, steps to breaking down challenging problems and techniques to reduce test anxiety. Embedded in this course is personalized, differentiated strategy building that optimizes performance for every Bee Tutored student.

The course includes: 15, 1.5 hour classes, 1 diagnostic, 2 mock exam+analysis, and comprehensive lessons + guided practice provided by Bee Tutored’s experienced SHSAT instructors.

Classes capped at 15 students. The scheduled mock exams will be proctored via zoom.
