Class Experience
BOLD Arts invites children to join in a week of dance and the creativecarts, which culminates in a high-energy, original performance. Participants are immersed in a thought-provoking theme used to inspire their show. Together, we build a performance using student-made props or scenic elements, costumes, and dances created by the group. Expect to have fun, be challenged, and exposed to various styles of dance, storytelling, and music.
Sample Class Format
- 9:30-10:30 Welcome games, Dance Warm-up, and Choreography
- 10:30 Snack-Campers bring their own
- 10:45-12- Campers split into two groups, divided by age and rotate between dance time (campers create a unique dance with their group), and art time (campers create costumes, scenic elements, or props for our performance.
- 12-12:30 Campers come together, share choreography from the day, play movement games, and say goodbye, until the next day!
Each week, campers focus on a different theme.

- BOLD Arts provides art supplies in a backpack for each child, as well as a costume t-shirt.

Lara M.
BFA in Dance Performance and K-12 Dance Education graduate of Towson University and is currently earning her Master's in Dance at Montclair State University. Lara has performed with Dissonance Dance Theatre (DC), Deep Vision Dance Company (Baltimore), Deviated Theatre (DC), MishMash Productions (NYC), Nikki Manx Dance Project (NJ), and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre/Sean McLeod Dance Experience (NYC), and most notably with Carolyn Dorfman Dance, a modern-contemporary dance company (NY/NJ) since 2015
