Postnatal Yoga (pre-crawlers welcome)

Adult

Description

This class is designed for postpartum moms to gently and safely regain strength, tone, and endurance after pregnancy and birth with an emphasis on core strength and posture.

Pre-crawling babies (and their voices) are welcome, but this class is distinctly for grownups. Babies are welcome to play or sleep – on the floor, in carriers, or be held in arms. Recommend after 6 weeks postpartum with healthcare provider clearance. No previous yoga experience is required.

Notes:

Please bring water, as hand towel, and a yoga mat for yourself, if you'd like to use your own. All other yoga props are provided.
Please wear comfortable, stretchy clothes that are not too loose.
Please bring a small blanket to cover our mats/blankets and any toys your baby might like.
Expect your baby to be a baby and know that their voice is welcome. Crying, eating, diaper changes, and sleeping is all perfectly fine during class.
Please bring only water or milk/formula in closed top containers into the yoga classroom. Breastfeeding is always welcome.
