Yoga helps children learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress, and connecting to their bodies in a loving way while having fun. A kids yoga class encourages children to move creatively in a non-competitive environment while honoring each child’s unique expression of the poses. Breathing Space classes incorporate age-appropriate poses, breathing, movement, games, music, and art. Classes often revolve around a philosophical or natural theme and always include some form of quiet relaxation.
• Kids Yoga (4-8 yrs) incorporates more philosophical, seasonal, and narrative themes, includes games with more complex rules, and asks students to stay on their yoga mats more than our Preschooler Family Yoga (21 mo-4 year old) class and requires more independence than our Family Yoga (4+ yrs) class. • Both children and adults are kindly asked to remove shoes before entering the classroom space. Most belongings can be left in reception area cubbies, but feel free to bring valuables into the room. Please pack dirty diapers away with you. Thanks.
• All of our classes are in the downstairs studio, down a flight of stairs. Small folding strollers are welcome inside but please leave jogging-style or bulky strollers outside. We have a long cable lock for students lock up bikes or strollers. Contact us about the combination. For safety reasons, strollers cannot be left in the stairway or on landings.
