Intro to Text-based Programming with JavaScript
Grades 4-8

Do you have a passion for coding? Advance your coding skills using this tiny, yet powerful programmable computer created by the BBC called the micro:Bit.

Through simple and more complex projects, participants will program their micro:bits using both the familiar block-based coding format used in Scratch, as well as the widely-used text-based coding in JavaScript.

With the click of a button, students can switch from one form of coding to the other, allowing them the opportunity to examine, understand, and bridge the gap between the two formats.

Students registering for this class should have completed Junior Scratch(er) Programmer (level I) or demonstrated comparable skills.
