Summer Camp Week 2
10 - 13 yrs
Description
Science: Are you an aspiring crime scene investigator? Through experimentation and keen observation, students will collect clues to try to solve a terrible crime — a murder. Detective skills will include hair and fiber analysis, lifting and analyzing fingerprints, ink chromatography, shoe print analysis and more. Learn to use UV light to see the invisible, and match evidence on the body to the possible murder weapon. Investigate all the clues to figure out the cause of death, which can sometimes be elusive.
Art: Students will design art and write poetry for the obituary column in order to honor the deceased victim.
Technology Exploration Stations: Students will engage in technology-based activities and centers that may include: video editing with WeVideo, Makey Makey, virtual reality, video game design with Scratch, computer programming with Raspberry Pi, and Green Screen.
