Description
Science: Students will learn about the external and internal anatomy of the brain and will create a brain hat. Students will conduct experiments that involve “optical illusions” that trick the brain. The culminating activity for this camp is the dissection of a real sheep’s brain. How cool is that?!
Art: Students will create a piece of modern art which represents the right and left hemispheres of their own brain/personality. They will also make a scientific diagram of a neuron, or nerve cell, which transmits electrical impulses through the brain and nervous system.
Technology Exploration Stations: Students will engage in technology-based activities and centers that may include: video editing with WeVideo, Makey Makey, virtual reality, video game design with Scratch, computer programming with Raspberry Pi, Green Screen and Google apps.
