Description
Science: Students will dissect and investigate several marine organisms in terms of their anatomy, classification, adaptations for survival, and the ecosystems in which they live. Specimens will include: oyster or clam, starfish, squid and perch (fish). 4 dissections in a week makes this a truly remarkable (and unique) camp!
Art: Students will create stunning artwork inspired by the marine organisms they observe in lab. The artists will make a clay sculpture of tide pool invertebrates and will paint a stunning watercolor of seashells.
Technology Exploration Stations: Students will engage in technology-based activities and centers that may include: video editing with WeVideo, Makey Makey, virtual reality, video game design with Scratch, computer programming with Raspberry Pi, Green Screen and Google apps.
