This workshop is designed to help teens deal with life and school stressors; such as pressure some feel from state tests, regents, SAT and normal school workload in a fun and comfortable way.
In addition, we will cover important topics such as self image, social media distractions and awareness of digital bullying.
They will develop strategies such as breathing techniques to help relax the body for better sleep and to release anxiety. Also, energizing breaths to help awaken the brain and prepare the body for concentrating on the task at hand.
We will also explore and identify personal strengths through activities and writing/art exercises to help build confidence to improve self esteem. They will gain a better understanding of emotions and physical responses to stress.
Music, yoga, meditation, sharing and personal reflection will help make this workshop an invaluable resource to help your teen prepare for day to day stresses with school and life. It will prepare them to learn how to become resilient and confident young adults. They will also be taught basic yoga postures, sequences and activities.
