Description

You’ve seen it in the movies, now learn how to do it yourself! In this introductory class, learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more. Wedging, centering, pulling, lifting and trimming are demonstrated, and basic surface decoration techniques are also explored. This class is designed for students with little or no experience on the potter’s wheel.




Notes: 



  • First time students are required to purchase a clay tool kit for $20. 

  • All students are required to purchase clay $35/per bag. (These supplies must be purchased from The Chartreuse Muse Gallery). 

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class to purchase these items from the gallery. 

  • Beginning wheel students may rent a locker at a discounted rate of $50/month.

This class is held in our clay studio. Please enter through the clay studio door at the back of our building. Head through the alley toward the parking garage and past the murals and then turn right.
