Plan your special event at Children's Art Classes in Cary! Our outstanding art teachers will guide attendees through an engaging art activity. The following are our standard activity options, but we will work with you to choose an activity that your team, pack, troop, or group will enjoy.

Painting
Each attendee will create a painting on canvas. The theme of the activity can be based on the purpose of the event or the attendees' interests. Paintings can go home with each attendee when they leave the event. This option is great for older children and adults, but we can accommodate attendees 3 years of age and up and adjust the project accordingly.

Clay
Each attendee will create a work of art with clay and paint. The theme of the activity can be based on the purpose of the event or the attendees' interests. This is a great option for younger children, who may struggle with canvas painting, but we can accommodate attendees 3 years of age and up and adjust the project accordingly. Clay sculptures will need to be fired before going home. The firing process can take 1-2 weeks, depending on kiln availability.

What does the event fee include?
- 1.5 hours of activity time with a CAC art teacher, who will guide you through the process
- 30 minutes of prep time for the host to set up snacks and/or decorations
- 12 participants (12.50 per additional participant, up to 20 total participants)
- No separate charge for art materials
- No separate charge for firing costs, if applicable

Policy

PAYMENT
All fees (event fee + any add-ons) are to be paid at the time of booking. If the event host needs to add additional attendees, please contact us with the updated headcount (no greater than 20 guests in total). Any charges on top of the event fee, i.e., add-ons, must be paid no later than one week before your time slot.

POST-PARTY CLEANUP
We will handle any art messes. The event host is responsible for clearing and properly disposing of all food-related items (e.g., food products, utensils, plates, cups, etc.). The event host is also responsible for clearing any decorations or other items that they bring.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the case of inclement weather, the event host will be notified as soon as possible if the studio needs to close. We expect studio closures to be very rare, but our guests' safety and that of our teachers is of upmost importance. If an unexpected studio closure occurs on the event day, the event host will receive a full refund of the event fee and any add-on items they purchased. We will also provide the event host a 10% discount to rebook.

LATE ARRIVALS
In order to have enough time to complete the activity, it is important that the event start on time (30 minutes after the beginning of the time slot).
- Hosts: Hosts are given 30 minutes to set up ahead of time and should plan to arrive promptly at the beginning of their time slot. The teacher will commence the art activity when those 30 minutes are up to ensure that attendees have the time to complete their projects. Refer to "No Shows" below to see what occurs if the host is more than one hour late and cannot be reached.
- Attendees: We understand that it's likely that some guests may arrive at different times during the event for a variety of reasons. Ideally, each attendee would arrive on time and be able to complete their project by the end of the party. If an attendee arrives late, they will not have as much time to complete their project and may have to finish it at home.

RESCHEDULING
If the scheduled time slot no longer works for the event host, we ask that the event host requests to reschedule their event at least one week before their time slot. Please note that we cannot guarantee that another time slot will be available close to the date of the original time slot. Please rest assured that we will try our best to find a suitable alternative. To allow us the opportunity to offer the time slot to another host, timely communication is appreciated. As such, the following guidelines apply.

Rescheduling at least one week before scheduled time slot:
- Hosts requesting to reschedule *at least one week before their time slot* can simply transfer their payment to the new date.
- If the host is unable to find a date that works for them, they will receive a 100% refund of their event fee and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.

Rescheduling within one week of scheduled time slot:
- Hosts requesting to reschedule *within one week of their time slot* can simply transfer their payment to the new date.
- If the host is unable to find a time slot that works for them and needs to cancel, they will receive a 50% refund of their event fee and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.
- Exception: If the host cannot find a new time slot that works for them and needs to cancel AND another host books their original day and time, we will issue the host a 100% refund of the event fee (instead of a 50% refund) and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.

Rescheduling within 24 hours of scheduled time slot:
- Hosts requesting to reschedule *within 24 hours of their time slot* can transfer their payment to the new time slot. - A $75 late notice change fee will be assessed.
- If the host cannot find a new time slot that works for them and needs to cancel, they will receive *no refund* of the event fee and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased. They will not incur a late notice change fee.
- Exception: If the host cannot find a new time slot that works for them and needs to cancel AND another host books their original time slot, we will issue a refund for 100% of the event fee (instead of no refund) and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.

CANCELLATIONS
We understand that things come up. However, we request that if the party host needs to cancel, they notify us at least one week before their time slot.

Cancelling at least one week before scheduled time slot:
- Hosts canceling *at least one week before their time slot* will receive a 100% refund of the event fee and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.

Cancelling within one week of the scheduled time slot:
- Hosts canceling *within one week of their time slot* will receive a 50% refund of the event fee and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.
- Exception: If another host books the now vacant time slot, we will issue the host a 100% refund of the event fee (instead of a 50% refund) and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.

Cancelling within 24 hours of the scheduled time slot:
- Hosts canceling *within 24 hours of their time slot* will forfeit the event fee, but they will receive a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.
- Exception: If another host books the now vacant time slot, we will issue a refund for 100% of the event fee (instead of the event host forfeiting the event fee) and a 100% refund for any add-ons purchased.

"NO SHOWS"
Our teachers work hard to not only ensure that the studio is ready ahead of a event but also design an activity based on the purpose of the event or the attendees' interests. Therefore, the event host *must notify us* if they and the attendees will no longer use their booked time slot.

The host is considered a "no show" if they do not arrive at the studio by the beginning of the second hour of their two-hour time slot (e.g., If the event is scheduled for 1:00 -3:00 PM and the host has not arrived by 2:00 PM) AND the host has not notified the studio of their need to cancel or reschedule within the cancellation/reschedule window. The teacher will attempt to contact the event host if they have not arrived within 45 minutes of the scheduled start time.

To respect our teachers' time, effort, and expertise, if the host and the attendees do not arrive by the beginning of the second hour of their time slot AND have not responded to the teacher's attempts to contact them, the following will occur:
- The teacher will cancel the party when 60 minutes have passed and the event has not begun.
- If the teacher needs to cancel the party, the host forfeits their event fee AND any fees they paid for additional attendees.
- If the host purchased add-on items, such as t-shirts, they will receive a 100% refund for those items.
