Spend your summer honing your triple threat skills with our summer-long musical theatre program, Beauty and the Beast Jr! Our staff will prep students to present their audition, cast the show, and rehearse the musical for a weekend of public performances! For ages 10-16.

Class Requirements
- No previous experience in theatre or musical theatre expected
What you'll learn
- Actors will practice auditioning for musical theatre
- Actors will learn to read sheet music
- Actors will learn foundational choreography
- Actors will learn acting skills
Sample Class Format
- First week: Actors will work with staff to establish a group culture and practice their audition. They will audition and the staff will cast everyone in the group in their role(s). Everyone enrolled will receive a role.
- No more than 40 actors will be in the program, to ensure everyone receives adequate stage time and instruction.
- Rehearsals are Mon/Tues/Thurs in the evening. Actors should plan to attend all rehearsals. Rehearsals will include practicing acting, singing in groups and solos, and choreography. Rehearsals are usually 2 1/2 hour long.
- Actors are expected to attend all rehearsals the week of July 31-August 3, and rehearsals will be 3 hours long. This is tech week.
- Performances are August 5th and 6th at 2:00 pm, and August 4th and 5th at 7:00 pm. The show runs about 70 minutes long with no intermission. Performances are open to the public.
What To Bring
- CTW provides, as part of tuition: script, costume (unless it can be brought from home), makeup, etc.
- Please bring to rehearsal: water bottle, pencil, and the script CTW provides.
- All actors should wear closed-toed shoes to reduce tripping or losing footwear, while dancing.
