ROMEO AND WINIFRED

Written by Charlie Lovett

This hilarious spoof turns Shakespeare upside down with a stage full of zany modern-day characters. It is modern-day New York City, where the high-end Montague’s Department store and the cheapo Capulet’s Discount Mart — rival clothing stores — meet in the street to trade vicious insults. Words are their daggers, wielded with such finesse and skill that you could die laughing! With pie fights instead of duels, a nurse obsessed with paper cuts, and an outrageous parody of the most romantic scene in literature, you’ll forget the story ever had anything to do with tragedy!

The Actors Company and Theater School (Colorado ACTS), founded and operated by Christians, offers theater classes to children four to eighteen years old (seniors in high school).

The school’s mission is to bring quality children’s drama education to the local community.

At Colorado ACTS, the faculty and staff strive to create a safe place where students cultivate imagination, self-expression, and teamwork. Discipline, self-confidence, and belonging to a community are a few of the many benefits of theater education.
