Using the ancient technique of anticlastic raising, students will create a mirrored image pair of earrings that are light weight but have the appearance of being . Pattie will teach students how to create a template that students will cut out of steel to make a pancake die. Using the die they will cut out their shapes in silver. They will then hammer those designs into anticlastic floral forms working each side in the opposite direction to make that hand made mirror image. Pattie will then walk students through the cleanup process showing students techniques for getting into those hard to reach places, by using toothpicks and other tricks. By the end of this workshop students will leave with a finished pair of matching, mirrored, anticlastic floral earrings.
