Hydraulic Press with Richard Sweetman

Adult

Description

Learn from the creator of the shark bite hydraulic press and die maker Richard Sweetman, on many ways to use the hydraulic press. Students learn to make the popular crushed bracelet, acrylic dies, pancake dies and deep 3 inch draw of metal(which can be used for vessels). Richard will show students how to successfully use and cut out acrylic and pancake dies, this technique is useful for multiples or production items. Students use the set of press dies to form a crushed bracelet, then use a riveting technique to the edges for a nice finishing touch.

Students will need 18 gauge metal for the bracelet and 22 for the acrylic dies. Silver or brass for crushing, silver or copper for dies. I will supply acrylic and steel for the pancake ( cutting) die.
