Class Experience

This program is a virtual lecture series for high school students interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.

The program includes:

 Veterinarian shadowing experience 

 Tour of Cornell Cooperative Extension Suffolk County Farm & Education Center

You can later choose fromMarch  4 at  10-12, March 4 from 1-3,March 13 from 10-12 and March 13 from 1-3.

Various lecture topics including but not limited to:
 - Veterinary Colleges & Admissions Information
 - Large & Mixed Animal Practices
 - Small & Companion Animal Medicine
 - Zoo Medicine & Exotics
 - Specializations:
    + Lab Animal Medicine
    + Emergency & Critical Care
    + Animal Behavior

Student  receives Certificate of Completion if requirements are fulfilled (one  absence allowed, tour included). Program eligible for LIVMA Veterinary  School Scholarship.
