With immigration such a hot topic in today’s world, see what it was like in 1907 - the peak year for immigration through Ellis Island! Travel with immigrants from Italy, Russia, Hungary, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, and the West Indies on a journey to the “promised land”. They end up at Ellis Island, gateway to America, where they must run the gauntlet of immigration officers who determine their fitness for entry into the United States. Experience the joys and sorrows of your ancestors in this emotional saga (part one of a series - the third installment, “Whistleville”, will be presented in August). Younger students play the children, older students the adults. This award-winning large-cast show is a Crystal Theatre staple among the actors and audience! Directed by Cheryl and Alexandrea Kemeny, musically directed by Laszlo Balazs, and choreographed by Alex Cahr.
