Class Experience

Creative Movement introduces young movers to the world of dance through engaging games, playful prompts and guided explorations in a safe, structured and supportive environment. Classes stimulate and develop creativity and imagination through engagement with props, imagery, sensations and sound. Students will hone developmental skills that enhance coordination, improvisation, musicality, team work, listening, creativity, and composition.

This class is being planned as an in-person experience with limited capacity. This is subject to change based on CDC guidelines.

Following New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Emergency Executive Order, Dancewave will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination and valid identification upon entering the facility for all staff, interns, volunteers, and patrons ages 5 and older. Virtual participation is available for those interested, regardless of vaccination status.

Class Requirements

  • As of December 14, 2021 children aged 5+ entering a covered entity will be required to display proof of COVID-19 vaccination and identification bearing the same identifying information as the proof of vaccination.
  • As of December 27, 2021 New Yorkers aged 12 and older will be required to show proof of two vaccine doses, instead of one, except for those who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
