Description
Hip Hop is a great introduction for new and returning students who love to dance! This program follows the structure of a Hip Hop dance class and introduces young dancers to the basics of Hip Hop and Pop Music style while growing independence, self-expression and community. Over the course of the session, students will engage in social-emotional learning as they play in contemporary movement games; strengthen individual gross-motor skills; enhance memory function through group technical practice; self manage in improvisational activities; and activiate free choice, self-expression and creative confidence. No special dress is required in this program, however students are encouraged to wear gym shoes and clothes they are comfortable moving in. Family and friends will be invited to celebrate their dancer's hard work in a final presentation at the end of the session.
