Beginner Storytime Dance for 3- to 5-year-olds is the perfect drop-off class for kiddos who love to discover, read and dance! In this class, students will dance their way through popular children’s stories, using creativity, choreography, and character building skills. Over the course of the session, students will learn fundamental dance basics while developing vital skills in comprehension, memorization, and performance. Dancers will also gain social-emotional skills as they engage in creative movement games; strengthen individual gross-motor skills; enhance memory function through group reading and technical practice; self manage in improvisational activities; and activate free choice, self-expression and creative confidence. No special dress is required in this program, however students are encouraged to wear gym shoes and clothes they are comfortable moving in. Family and friends will be invited to celebrate their dancer's hard work in a final showcase at the end of the session.
