This garden workshop is designed for the more seasoned gardeners in mind. In this workshop, you will learn the complexities of soil and plant fertility to enhance your garden for years to come. This workshop will be lead by our friend, Joel from California State University Bakersfield who manages the edible garden on campus. Joel is a wealth of extensive knowledge of plant and soil health.
Participants will learn the process of Vermicompost which adds organic matter to soil to improve its structure, aeration and moisture retention. Attendees will also glean how to compost at home, and receive supplies to make warm tea at home.
There is a nominal fee attached to this workshop to ensure your attendance. The cost will be offset by a free plant upon your arrival.
