Class Experience

Preschoolers will have 3 days of fun filled artistic experiences. Campers will create paintings, collages, prints and three-dimensional art each day. Every day brings new projects that will bring a smile to all. FAI instructors are professionals certified in their areas of expertise. Learning is fun at the FAI "Little Artists Camps". All campers must be potty trained. **Please note: each month brings all new art projects! Camp Coordinator: Julie Atyia

JUNE: "LITTLE DETECTIVES"

Grab your magnifying glass and turn on your thinking cap! It's time to solve some magnificent mysteries!  Whose fingerprints are following Officer Panda? Who ate Donkey's birthday cake?  And does anyone know where Frannie, the caterpillar, went?  If you're a dynamite detective, we could use your help searching for clues to solve these mysteries at the "Little Detectives Camp" in June! Our Storytime, Music, Drama, & Art activities will be based on these 3 picture books:

"Officer Panda- Fingerprint Detective" by Ashley Crowley

"The Mystery of the Missing Cake" by Claudia Boldt

"Pipsie- Nature Detective" by Rick DeDonato


JULY: "SUMMER IN 3D"

Let's celebrate summer together!  We'll ride an adventurous ocean wave with 2 jellyfish brothers, journey through a summer garden to collect our favorite bugs,and gather supplies and ingredients to create the best lemonade stand in town! Summer will be in full swing, so come cool off and play & create with us at the "Summer in 3D Art Camp" in July!  Our Storytime, Music, Drama, & 3D Art activities will be based on these 3 picture books:

"Spencer and Vincent- The Jellyfish Brothers" by Tony Johnston

"The Bug Collector" by Alex G. Griffiths

"Caterina and the Lemonade Stand" by Erin Eitter Kono


AUGUST:  "SENSATIONAL SUPERHEROES"

Put on your cape and activate your superpowers!  It's time for all superheroes to band together and stand up for what's right! We'll have 3 missions to accomplish, so save up some of your superpowers and let's go to work!  We'll be standing up to a bully at school, saving Earth from a gigantic meteor, and rescuing a scared puppy from the top of the curly slide! Calling all superheroes to the rescue at "Sensational Superheroes Camp" in August! Our Storytime, Music, Drama, & Art activities will be based on these 3 picture books:

"Super Manny Stands Up!" by Kelly DiPucchio

"Eliot Jones- Midnight Superhero" by Anne Cottringer

"Lucia the Luchadora" by Cynthia Leonor Garza



**DROP OFF AND PICK UP**

Please drop off your child at the front door each morning. Drop off will begin by 9:45. We will greet your child and bring them in to the building. They will be put in “color groups” with name tags.
We will walk them to their classroom and the teachers will be waiting and ready to greet the campers!

For pick up, please wait in line in front of the building for your child. We will bring them to your car and help them into their car seats.

Meet your Instructors

Erin L.

Erin Latham is an installation artist, printmaker, and writer, living and working in Oklahoma. She received her Bachelors of Fine Art from the University of Oklahoma in 2008, Masters of Fine art from the Pratt Institute in 2012, and her PhD in Art Theory, Aesthetics, and Philosophy at the Institute of Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. She has a passion for sharing art with others and has been a teaching artist for ten years.

Alison S.

Allison previously worked as a graphic designer in Kansas City, MO. After moving to Edmond in 2017 she found Edmond Fine Arts. Alison took a position as an Arts in Schools teacher in 2019. She also teaches Homeschool art classes, summer and holiday camps. She is very grateful for the opportunity to work with such fun and creative people.

Mandy S.

Mandy Steward is an artist, teacher and entrepreneur living in Edmond, with her husband and four kids, where she practices putting out her Hope Beaconess signal by imaginating and making belief for the Secret Message Society. Through Edmond Fine Arts Institute she has taught Art In Schools and currently facilitates Art Therapy at Pepper's Ranch Foster Care Community, curates the Edmond Little Free Art Gallery and teaches at various art camps.

Julie A.

Julie has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Vocal Music Education. She's taught Kindermusik & Musikgarten Mommy & Me classes at the FAI, as well as Magical Journeys and Little Artist Camps for 3-6 yr. old children. She loves sharing picture books and bringing them to life through music, art, & drama!
