Girls will experience insecurities - jealousy – competition – comparisons. These can manifest low self-esteem and low self-confidence. Therefore it’s important to empower girls with confidence at this age so they are prepared for successful friendships, relationships and careers. This workshop helps girls, ages 9 – 12, recognize those qualities that make them awesome, celebrate who they are and empower them when their self-confidence is challenged by others or difficult situations. This interactive workshop is combined with music, videos and fun activities, and is offered in 6, 8 or 12 hour formats.

6 hour workshop - Girls will learn:

Self-confidence and tools to boost self-esteem
Inner and outer beauty
Body image and the media
Role models
Communication skills
In class activities include making a sugar scrub and designing a "strength" drawing
Listening skills
Yoga and meditation
Journaling
8 hour workshop - Expands further on the 6 hour workshop and also includes:

Goal setting
Bullying vs. self confidence
12 hour workshop - Expands further on the 8 hour workshop and also includes:

Healthy boundaries
Positive self talk
Physical and emotional self care
In class activities to take home includes mirror reminders and a collage
Beauty culture and history

My daughter attended this workshop when she was only 8 years old and learned so much! It helped her recognize the importance of inner beauty and to always love herself just the way she is. She even applied what she learned and helped a fellow dancer who was being made fun of at school by talking to her in private and giving her words of encouragement!
