It’s a week of Spring celebrations! Each day will bring new and exciting themed activities with our dogs.
Monday 4/22 is Earth Day. We will be upcycling items that are commonly seen as waste and repurposing them into original enrichment toys for the Frolic dogs! We will also be decorating small planters and planting doggy-safe herbs for your child to keep!
Tuesday 4/23 is National Lost Dog Awareness Day. With warmer days here, that means more time outside with dogs! By playing Doggy FBI agents, we will be learning about summer safety, and making custom “dog ID tags” with our campers.
Wednesday 4/24 we will be celebrating World Veterinary Day (4/27). We’ll be ready in our scrubs and our stethoscopes to be Frolic vets for the afternoon, and the Frolic dogs are the best patients to learn with.
Thursday 4/25 is National Guide Dog Day! With the Frolic dogs’ story beginning as guide dogs or guide-dogs-in-training, we will practice and feel what it’s like to put our trust in our canine friends with our Assistance Dog Simulation Course. We will also take a short one-stop subway ride on the Q train with future assistance puppy, Tesla!
Friday 4/26 we wrap the week up with National Kids and Pets Day! We will make special treats to celebrate our Frolic friends, play games with them, and take home craft to commemorate a week of Frolic fun!
Advanced registration (at minimum 48 hours) is required for camp to allow for sufficient supplies. In the event of serious illness or accident during or before camp that prevents your child from completing the rest of their session(s), a prorated refund will be given when accompanied by a physician's letter. No refunds will be granted for sick or absent days. There are no make-ups for missed days. Our dogs are Labrador Retrievers, and are not considered to be hypoallergenic. Please be mindful that our dogs do shed. We provide hand sanitizer and hand washing stations for easy cleanup before, during, and after activities. While our spring camp days run from 12p-3p, please pack school-safe snacks for your child to bring with them. Playing with dogs sure works up an appetite! Before sending your child to Frolic, have their profile with any allergies and/or other considerations completed in detail. Any child attending a Frolic activity or event must have a Participation Waiver completed and signed before arrival. Children cannot participate in Frolic activities without having a waiver completed in full and signed by their respective parent/guardian. Waiver: https://form.jotformpro.com/biscuits/frolic_waiver
