Course description: Learn about fashion design, the process of designing clothing, and how to make garments from start to finish. Learn about fashion illustration, creating mood boards, a short history of fashion design, research and development, textiles and fabrics, and garment construction.
The value of this course is undescribable. The student will have 30 in person and 6 virtual classes, 4 open studio dates, access to our instructors for support between classes and so much more. Students will be creating their very own designs from start to finish. No worries if they haven't sewn before. Our staff is here to ensure they succeed in their designs. Models will be available during the course to ensure proper fit of the final garment.
Students will showcase their designs at the end of the course in a group fashion show. Yes,Fashion Show! Students will have the option to model their own designs if they choose to, however if they do not want to we will have volunteer models to show off each student's unique creation. Our goal is to create 2 outfits in total.

Students are encouraged to work on designs and do research between classes.
