In this popular workshop campers will create a fantasy world together, coming up with all the fun details from the inhabitants, to the language spoken, to the system of government, etc. Campers will write stories together within that world, exploring genres such as sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian, and horror. Some writing experience is recommended. All campers will also be published in the Girls With Pens Anthology (included in the price of the camp) and on the blog.
Carolyn Cohagan’s first novel, THE LOST CHILDREN (Simon & Schuster, 2010) is a middle grade fantasy which became part of the Scholastic Bookclub and was nominated for a Massachusetts Children’s Book Award.
