This mountain bike program will focus on enjoying riding the fun trails of the Grand Valley with experienced, supportive coaches. This program will teach and practice the mountain bike skills needed to safely, efficiently, and enjoyably ride the unique technical trails in the Grand Valley. Fun-forward focused, riders will be matched with riders with similar skills to maintain a fun, safe, cohesive crew.

This program is for high school students (including incoming 8th graders) who are interested in riding without a race component. They can be newer riders or experienced riders who enjoy the adventure, the challenge, the comraderie, but aren't interested in racing.

Grand Valley Youth Cycling (GVYC) is a nonprofit organization that delivers high quality afterschool and year-round mountain bike programming for 6th - 12th grade students in the community. Initially founded in 2011 to support the needs of high school bike racing teams in the Colorado High School Cycling League, we have since expanded to better serve the youth of the Grand Valley through the addition of middle school and other skill-based mountain biking programs to meet a larger range of abilities and interests. GVYC mountain bike programs blend the physical and mental health benefits of mountain biking with access to outdoor physical activity, awareness of our public lands, trail stewardship and a healthy lifestyle.
