Brentwood Elementary Spring Ukulele Class

Ages 8 - 12 yrs

Description

This is a great chance for kids eight and older to learn to strum, pick and sing along on the ukulele, a small instrument that can pack a big punch.

Using both original and traditional material, we create arrangements that allow beginners and more experienced students to participate at their own level of skill.

Special events give students a chance to perform on stage, alongside professional musicians. The spring semester culminates with a city wide concert at Carver Center.

Learning an instrument is a lot of fun, and offers an invaluable skill that children can use throughout a lifetime. Learning to play, nonetheless, requires, commitment and discipline, and we ask that students and families work with teachers to insure success with a reasonable practice regimen.

We strive to make our programs affordable to all families, and some scholarships are available. Please inquire for more information.

PLEASE NOTE: As this is an after-school program, registration is limited to students of Brentwood Elementary. If your child is not a student of Brentwood Elementary please contact us to discuss possible private or group lessons.
