This is a great chance for kids eight and older to learn to strum, pick and sing along on the ukulele, a small instrument that can pack a big punch.
Using both original and traditional material, we create arrangements that allow beginners and more experienced students to participate at their own level of skill.
Special events give students a chance to perform on stage, alongside professional musicians. The spring semester culminates with a city wide music event at Carver Center.
Learning an instrument is a lot of fun, and offers an invaluable skill that children can use throughout a lifetime. Learning to play, nonetheless, requires, commitment and discipline, and we ask that students and families work with teachers to insure success with a reasonable practice regimen.
We offer a 10% sibling discount when registered at the same time.
Instruments are brought to use during class, but purchasing a quality and inexpensive ukulele for home practice is recommended. Contact our sister company, Good Tone at firstname.lastname@example.org for student discounts.
This is an after-school program that is limited to Matthews Elementary students. If your child is not a student of Matthews Elementary, please contact us for other options at email@example.com
