Broadway Dancer and Peter cooper Village dad, Jeffrey Schecter (Fiddler on the Roof, A Chorus Line, etc) leads this weekly dance class introducing new dancers and those with some experience to a wide range of hip hop and jazz dance styles including theatre dance and all the fundamentals of Jazz dance. Each class begins with a warm up to introduce kids to the concept of properly preparing their body for anything and then a dance combination will be taught to develop the skill of learning and performing choreography. If your child loves to moonwalk like Michael Jackson, pop and lock like the Jabberwockies or Jump, turn and twirl like the next great Broadway dancer, then this is the class for them. For Girls and Boys!! Must have have approval of Teacher before registering. Previous dance classes are required.

*In the event Jeff is not available a qualified teacher from the ICDT staff will lead this class.

Please keep in mind this is an outdoor class. In the event of rain or a particularly cold day (Usually under 45 degrees) we will go on zoom. IF we have to go on zoom more than 2 times (for a 3rd time or more) we will do our best to add make up classes to the end of the semester or offer credit towards future classes.
