Description
A perfect first class for the youngest dancers. This class will focus on the basic fundamentals of Ballet and Dance for our youngest dancers. Focus will be on musicality, self expression, increasing body awareness, and helping kids “express themselves through dance”. I truly believe in dance as an outlet for kids both physically and emotionally. Children will gain a sense of self confidence and a love of dance through the joys of learning basic ballet vocabulary. A fun and safe environment for all!! All semesters end with a SHOW AND TELL for parents, caregivers and friends and family.
Notes:
PLEASE NOTE: This class is for kids Ages 3.5 - 5.5. This is a drop off class. We understand some kids may require gradual separation with an adult, which we fully support.
Proper Attire for all ICDT pre-ballet and ballet classes:
Girls: a leotard (any color/style), pink tights and pink ballet shoes
a small ballet skirt may be worn over the leotard if desired or a 1 piece leotard/skirt combo is also good.Please no tutus!!
Boys: white t-shirt and any color shorts with black ballet shoes
*Long Hair should be worn up and secured away from the face so students can move freely without distraction.*Short hair should be secured away from the face with a clip or headband
- I’m not going to exclude kids from class if they’re not in 100% proper attire. I do feel it’s important, however, to have a dress code, especially for ballet, as it helps kids understand the discipline that accompanies this art form.
