Students who love art, writing, creating, imagining, making comics and beyond, this is the class to take. Kids will be developing how to create their own comics by constructing characters, plots, layouts, and drawings. We will be discussing basic techniques of comics followed by a project each week, and inspiring each other to create better comics. At the end of the 16-week session, kids will have their own 14-page comic book with their newly acquired skills, one copy of their comic and a digital copy of their comic. Let’s encourage them to become self-publishing authors/illustrators and share their comic books with fellow ICS students. Although it is not mandatory to finish their project each week, we encourage them to show what they are working on with their fellow students. Parents will be expected to act as editors to support their kids’ creativity as well.
