In this after school art class, students will get a chance to experience different art making techniques at a more advanced level. The small class size lends itself to a choice-based studio environment, unlike the structure of art classes during the school day. Materials will be made available and new techniques will be introduced but students will enjoy the freedom to follow their own interests in art with guidance from their peers and myself. Students will use many of the same supplies they use in the art room during the school day but will also have a chance to experiment with mixing different media, and using non-traditional materials like food coloring, shaving cream and found objects. They will also explore the trials and triumphs of collaboration!
