Participants spend the day in our Makerspace, taking on challenges with our cool tech and choosing from several robotics options to fill out a day of creation and fun!

PlayTek VEX Robotics is designed to provide concrete, contextualized lessons that seamlessly integrate grade level mathematics, programming and engineering activities for students. In the curriculum, students learn about robotics technologies and how they impact modern industries.

The programming sections of the curriculum use Modkit, the perfect language for beginners much like Scratch, which will be used to control real VEX IQ robots. The project-based units instill proper engineering practices from an early age, while maintaining the fun and excitement that comes from playing with VEX IQ.
