A program designed for children with or without karate experience. Students are instructed in basic punches, kicks, blocking and forms. The course will also include: Self-Defense, Bully awareness, Confidence Building, Goal Setting and Japanese terminology. Student safety comes first as we emphasize the five rules: Effort, Etiquette, Character, Sincerity and Self Control. As your child progresses in each class, they will be working toward moving up in the colored belt rank. Classes are taught by Fifth Degree Master Instructor, Brian Sweetser. Shihan Sweetser has 21 years experience working with children and adults of all abilities. He also holds State and World Champion Competition titles and is a 2006 inductee into the “International Black Belt Hall of Fame” and the 2010 “International Black Belt Hall of Fame” Teacher of the Year.
Bay State Martial Arts uniforms are required. The uniform is $40 payable by cash, check to Bay State Martial Arts, or Venmo (Brian-Sweetser). If it asks for last 4 of the phone number, it is 8372. You can call Bay State Martial Arts about available times to pick up your uniform.
