The Simple Machines: Lever, Wheel & Pulley

Spring Semester

Ages 1st - 2nd grade

Description

This spring young inventors will explore how the LEVER, PULLEY & WHEEL helped us build civilizations, and then design inventions based on these simple machines. Build a cardboard CRANE capable of lifting a heavy rock! Build a Catapult to launch a ping pong balls at the enemy's castle! Explore the ORIGINS OF THE WHEEL AND AXLE that helped travel and trade across continents! Projects like elevators, trebuchets, and wheeled machines come together to form Rube Goldberg contraptions that solve simple tasks in complicated (and awesome!) ways.
